This was on my birthday and the sky opened up as we approached the summit

Just before the  Wilmington Flume there is a nice little section of waterfalls that you can climb right down into.

From rt 73 you can get this trail leading up over the Great Range. The trail starts out as a huge ravine with narrow paths. I took the low water path during a high water period and found myself crisscrossing the river on wet logs all the way up.

My friend lives in one of the oldest farm houses in Lake Placid and it has a great view of the ski jumps.

I spent the night next to the summit castle, by the time I got out of the tent the sun was already high in the sky so i climbed a snow drift to get a nice elevated view of the weather station.
