With views of  Wright Mtn. and Algonquin behind you this little secluded outcropping is definitely a favorite spot.

It was my friends wedding night on the shores of Lake Champlain and I was the last one awake…  at at least outside walking around. The big Dipper was hanging just above the canoe which was lite beautifully by moonlight.

It was my last stop on the route through Lecthworth State Park, but still one of my favorite.

The bike ride up the steep  5 mile Whiteface Mountain Toll Road to see the full moon rise over Plattsburgh is a local tradition. What is not is carrying  an extra 60 pounds of photo and camping gear to spend the night
